My Sisters’ Place is a program of Canadian Mental Health Association Middlesex. Many of its core positions are funded through the agency. However, fundraising plays a critical role in service delivery, enhancement and innovation.
Our current funding priorities focus on creating sustainability for our services:
- Increase access to safety, access and support through drop in services: currently we are open 48 hours a week including evening hours. Our goal is to increase our hours to 72 weekly.
- Improve Life Skills – Peer Program and Native Awareness: Robust programming to improve life skills that promote confidence and independence.
- Micro Enterprise: A social enterprise where women learn creative, employment and entrepreneurial skills while earning an income.
