As an organization, CMHA Middlesex has taken much care and consideration in adjusting our service delivery model to operate some programming through phone or virtual means. Through this entire process, the integrity of our services, as well as the safety of our staff, participants and the community have been our top priority.
Over the past two months, we have been busy developing policies and procedures, obtaining additional protective equipment, as well as creating the appropriate plan to begin delivering more in-person services, as they are appropriate, safe and manageable for our staff, participants and community.
In alignment with the government of Ontario’s phased re-opening process and with COVID-19 case numbers on a consistent decline within our community and the province, CMHA Middlesex will begin implementing its own plan to gradually restore our services. Our Gradual Restoring of Services Plan will be ongoing and will occur in stages.
Our next phase of gradually restoring services will include the following and begin over the course of three weeks, starting on Monday, July 27:
- Continue to provide virtual service delivery where it remains effective and practical, with a transition to limited face-to-face participant services
- A limited number of participants will begin to return to receive face-to-face services within CMHA sites/buildings
- Re-introduce groups activities with a limited number of participants and increased safety guidelines
- Ensure readiness to quickly return to our current state of services if the need arises – e.g., to respond to an increase of COVID-19 cases within our programs/community and where the public health is at risk
Each of our sites will begin to gradually return to in-person services based on our phase two plan and may be subject to change. To ensure that the program/service you are looking for is available for face-to-face support, please call the main site telephone line or connect with your mental health worker.
To protect participants, visitors and staff while continuing to provide support within our community, we will require the following at CMHA sites:
