What is your role with COAST?
I am a Police Officer with the LPS and I am a front line member on the COAST team.
Tell us about your career – how long you have been in your profession and/or with the London Police Service?
I have been working for the LPS for approximately 5 years now. I started as a Court Prisoner Security Officer then made the switch to constable in 2018. Now I look forward to helping those in need in our community.
What interested you about working on the COAST team?
What interested me in being part of the COAST team is the ability to offer people more resources to help them in whatever situation they may be facing in their lives. Having those interactions with our community members is so important to help those who are facing crisis, or those who may just need a helping hand.
What benefits do you hope this program will provide to the community and to vulnerable populations?
I hope this program will divert people away from the criminal justice system and the need to be admitted into the hospital system. With our help, I hope those who are struggling get the tools they need to successfully live in our community.
What do you do to support your own mental health and wellness?
To support my own mental health, I spend plenty of time with my family. I also enjoy being active by going to the gym and working out.
