CMHA Middlesex Board of Directors held its monthly meeting on May 14, 2018. Eleven Board Directors, and three staff were in attendance for the meeting.
Meeting Highlights
- Susan Macphail, Director for Community and Women’s Programs, this portfolio Exeter and Goderich Sites; Community Wellness Programs; Justice and Court Team; Impact Junk Solutions; Public Education; Outreach Sites – London Coffee House and My Sisters’ Place. All of the programs are embedded into the community to serve individuals where they live.
- The Board accepted and approved the Consent Agenda
- No financial statements were presented due to year-end audit
- The Board received an update on Fund Development finances, which highlighted the amount required for fundraising
- Property at 837 Talbot has been listed
Board Committees
- Finance Audit
– FAC Chair requested a Fiduciary Reporting Form, received and signed
– Board requested reporting on IT security and Privacy - Fund Development Committee- waiting for the internal fund development role to be filled
- Human Resources- no update
- Nominating Governance- Recommendation to create Past Chair role was received and accepted
– Recommendation to make the Second Vice-Chair role inactive was received and accepted
– Recommendation for succession of First Vice-Chair to move into the Chair role was received and accepted - Quality Assurance Risk Management- no update
- The Chair has received and accepted resignations from Tony Scott and Sandy Whittall, and thanked them for their contributions
- The Board will increase their focus on quality improvement and risk assurance
- Program Director Chris Babcock and EQIP initiative access to service were the winners of the Quality Award which is presented, by the SW LHIN, to organizations that have achieved excellence by working together on sustainable quality improvement initiatives
Next meeting will be held June 11, 2018
