Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a treatment approach developed to teach individuals with a history of self-harm behaviours and certain types of emotional troubles new skills to create a life worth living. DBT is a combination of cognitive behavioural approaches with Eastern meditation practices.
In our DBT program:
- Participants are taught skills in a group setting
- Individuals supported by the program benefit from a variety of therapeutic services which increases the quality of life
- Promotes the cultivation of meaningful and fulfilling lives while enhancing an individual’s ability to experience safety and stability
