Addressing the unique needs of rural communities across Middlesex, our Strathroy site is a hub for community mental health services across North Middlesex, South Middlesex, Strathroy Caradoc, Adelaide Metcalfe, Middlesex Centre and Lucan Biddulph. Many community partners come together at this location to support each person’s recovery goals and journey.

Crisis Services in West Middlesex
During business hours, people in crisis can walk in for help at 21 Richmond Street, Strathroy. A crisis worker will meet with you, conduct an assessment and provide options to get help. If you are at risk of harming yourself or others, go to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Emergency Department. A crisis worker will meet you there, conduct an assessment, and provide options for you to get help.

Counselling Services (for individuals living in West Middlesex County)
When you are experiencing symptoms of mental health stress we can offer you individual or group counselling. Our counsellors can help you learn skills for coping with personal crisis and create positive change in your life.
Case Managers work with individuals and their personal recovery goals by supporting the development of new and effective coping strategies in times of difficulty or crisis.

We provide information, answer questions about mental health, and connect you with services at CMHA Middlesex or in the community. Walk in support available.
CMHA Middlesex operates nine housing units in Strathroy and also employs a Housing Stability Worker who helps individuals with mental illness to find and retain safe, appropriate housing in the community.
Leisure and Life Skills
Meaningful activities, community outings, skills development and vocational opportunities for individuals living with a mental illness.
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Group: A four week group offering new problem solving skills through the usage of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Skills.
- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) Group: A ten week group that supports people with self-harming behaviours, who have a difficult time regulating emotions, and who would like to learn new strategies for coping.
- Mindfulness: A one-time group offered four times throughout the year. Individuals learn hands on basic mindfulness techniques to incorporate into their lives.
- Persuasion Group: A weekly group for individuals struggling with both addictions and mental health issues. Come talk and learn from your peers about strategies to enhance your wellness.
