CMHA Middlesex Board of Directors held its monthly meeting on September 10, 2018. Ten Board Directors, and five staff were in attendance for the meeting.
Meeting Highlights

- Wendy Sanderson, Senior Fund Development Associate at CMHA Middlesex attended to meet the Board, and looks forward to working with the organization to increase fund development
- Chris Babcock, Director Privacy, Risk and Quality Improvement; Acting Director Supportive Housing at CMHA Middlesex presented CARF 101 to the Board to prepare for accreditation in 2019
- The Board approved the Consent Agenda
- Finance: the Board received an explanation of the funding streams and related expenses for the Donations account; and a Properties Schedule was shared which noted owned, leased, and rentals and related costs
- CEO report: Talbot Street property is still for sale; Health Capital Investment Branch continues to review capital submission for renovations at 648 Huron Street

- The Board made a motion to elect Lorri Lowe as Treasurer

- Nominating Governance
- Board Self-Assessment results were circulated
- The committee outlined an education series
- Currently there is one vacancy on the Board and based on the recommendation from the Nominating Committee
- The Board made a motion to appoint Tom Warner, of London, to the Board
- Quality Assurance Risk Management
- Committee is looking into IT solutions to better capture data and provide reports
- A Board representative is requested for the Huron Perth Addiction and Mental Health Alliance Board Advisory Committee
- CMHA National Conference is being held in Montreal this year, we are sending one staff who is co-presenting on A Campus and Community Approach to Support Students in Crisis
- Keith Greenbeck has resigned from the Board, he was thanked for his dedication and contributions since being a valued member of the CMHA branch since 2005
